Three events to help raise money for Salford Loaves and Fishes are being organised by Salford’s Ceremonial Mayor Councillor Peter Dobbs. The organisation helps up to 60 homeless people a day with warm meals, health care, social activities, advice and support, Salford Lads and Girls Club and the Andrew Cooke Music Award Trust and Memorial Fund which helps children buy instruments and pay for music tuition.
The first event is a Swing night with Cadishead Band at Eccles Town Hall on January 30. Tickets cost just £5.
Fans of classic Salford film East is East can see it again at Islington Mill, James St on Thursday February 4. Tickets for the 7.30pm screening cost just £10.
And for brain boxes there’s a charity quiz night on Thursday February 25 at Buile Hill Park banqueting suite with tickets costing just £10 for a team (maximum six per team.) Prizes include wine and chocolate.
Tickets for all three events are available from susan.mellor@salford.gov.uk or on the door on the night.
